Anderson leads Oklahoma State over No. 10 Kansas State
NCAA Basketball Betting Lines
01/23/2010 - Manhattan, KS (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - James Anderson had 30 points as Oklahoma State shocked 10th-ranked Kansas State with a 73-69 win at Fred Bramlage Coliseum.
Obi Muonelo had 14 points and eight rebounds and Nick Sidorakis added nine points for the Cowboys (15-4, 3-2 Big 12), who have won their past two games.
Denis Clemente had 19 points, Curtis Kelly added 13 points and seven rebounds and Jacob Pullen donated 11 points, six assists and five rebounds for the Wildcats (16-3, 3-2), who had won their previous three games.
The battle went back-and-forth through much of the second half, but it tipped back to the Cowboys as they scored 10 straight points and held a 58-55 lead when Sidorakis put in a layup with 5 1/2 minutes to play.
After Jamar Samuels hit a free throw, Muonelo made a three-ball for a 61-56 advantage, but Clemente countered with a pair of free throws with 3 1/2 minutes left in the game.
Anderson then made two from the line and Rodney McGruder countered with a jumper, but Muonelo buried a three-pointer for a 66-60 lead with 2:20 to play.
Clemente then came up big with a three-pointer and, after Keiton Page made two from the stripe, Pullen hit another from long distance to make it a 68-66 game with 1:22 to play.
Muonelo countered with two free throws, but then missed two after Pullen failed on a three-point attempt.
Nick Russell then hit on one-of-two with 33 seconds left with Rodney McGruder grabbing the offensive board and Kelly hitting two free throws to make it a 70-69 game with 28 seconds left.
Martavious Irving then stole the ball off of Muonelo, but Sidorakis stripped the ball off of Irving and Roger Franklin hit one-of-two from the line with 17 seconds left.
Following a Kansas State timeout, Pullen missed a layup and Sidorakis made his two free throws with eight seconds left to seal the win.
The Wildcats jumped out to a 10-2 lead on consecutive three-pointers by Clemente with the second one coming just over three minutes in.
The Cowboys answered with a 12-2 run of their own and held a 14-12 lead with 11:25 to play in the first half on a three-ball by Anderson.
Kansas State, though, later used an 8-0 run to take the lead back and had a 35-32 lead after 20 minutes of play.

Albert Pujols to be This Year's Home Run Champ Says Online Sportsbook
Barry Bonds is a 50-1 long shot to be this year's home run champ odds. The favorite to be this year's home run champ is none other than Albert Pujols, however.
Now that Barry Bonds is signed and in Giants camp, it is on to his pursuit of all of sports most prestigious records: the all-time home run mark. Bonds sits just 21 homers shy of tying Hank Aaron for the career mark at 755. Word out of Giants’ camp is that Bonds is the healthiest he has been in a few years. Bonds is just two seasons removed from his injury riddled 2005 campaign where he played in only 14 games and hit only 5 home runs. He did come back last year and had a solid season hitting .270 with 26 bombs. All eyes will be on Bonds this spring and summer not only because of his home run chase but his highly publicized steroid abuse allegations. If and when Bonds breaks the record, he surely will not get the positive attention one should for breaking a record that was once thought of as “unbreakable”. Despite Bonds decent season last year, he is just 50-1 at MySportsbook.com to lead the MLB in long balls this season.
Not surprisingly, the favorites to go deep the most times this season are Albert Pujols 5-1, Ryan Howard 6-1, David Ortiz 8-1 and Alex Rodriguez 12-1. With 49 homers, Pujols finished second in the National League behind Howard (58). Pujols is considered the favorite due to the consistent power numbers that he has posted since breaking into the league in 2001. Also one must consider the fact that he played in 16 fewer games then Howard did due to an injury. Howard smashed 58 homers in his first complete season of big league play en route to the National League MVP odds award. He silenced his critics by successfully hitting left-handed pitching. Howard also displayed the ability to use his power to the opposite field. Two attributes which should keep Howard amongst the league leaders in long balls for years to come. From the American League representatives, David Ortiz leads the field. Ortiz was second in the majors last year with 54 home runs. Except for 1999 when he only played in 10 games, Ortiz has improved on his home run numbers each year he has been in the majors (1997).

MySportsbook.com Posts Heisman Trophy Odds
With 3,919 passing yards, 32 touchdowns and a mere seven interceptions last season, combined with a powerful South Bend Heisman legacy, odds makers at MySportsbook.com have given Notre Dame senior quarterback Brady Quinn the best Heisman Trophy odds at 5-2.
Quinn isn’t the only big man on campus this season. Oklahoma junior running back and 2004 Heisman runner-up Adrian Peterson, listed at 7-2, rushed for a combined 3,033 yards in his first two years as a college player and will give Quinn a run for his money.
This online sportsbook has also listed Troy Smith, Ohio State senior quarterback, as another strong favorite to win the 72nd Heisman Trophy. A 7-1 bet, Smith threw for 2,282 yards last season and also led the Buckeyes to a convincing 34-20 victory over Quinn and the Fighting Irish in last season’s Fiesta Bowl.
Current betting odds Heisman trophy are:
